The main players

Me! Pamela Ruth Griffin, spinster of this parish, 34 years old, who had almost given up on the hope of ever getting married and having my own family.

Darling beardy man, fiancé of the above, who is rather camera shy, doesn't like public speaking and doesn't like using Facebook to even acknowlege that he's in a relationship, so I won't be printing his name. Despite this, he is a lovely man even if he probably is mad for wanting to marry me!

Sister-in-law, my little brother's wife, who is being incredibly helpful with tips and advice on wedding planning. She and my brother had about six months from proposal to wedding, so she knows all about wedding organising on a short timescale! She will be one of my bridesmaids.

Little brother, who is actually taller than me but three and a bit years younger. He's the sensible one...sometimes :-)

Baby niece, daughter of little brother and sister-in-law, will be my littlest bridesmaid.

Jenny, one of my oldest friends and my chief bridesmaid. She is several inches taller than me but has promised to wear flat shoes! Slightly silly, which is probably why we're friends :-)

Rachel the amazing cake maker, who does exactly what it says on the tin. I was her bridesmaid a few years ago and she is a lovely lady and came with me to help me find my dress. The only reason she's not a bridesmaid is that between us, me and darling beardy man have too many nieces!

Big niece, darling beardy man's sister's oldest daughter. We're still debating whether she'll be six or seven at the time of the wedding. I suppose we'd better get that sorted before we order her bridesmaid dress. *edit - She will in fact be eight! Good thing I didn't order her a six-year-old's dress!

Little niece, the above's little sister. She will be three by the wedding and is potentially the bridesmaid who could cause most chaos, big niece being older and baby niece being escorted by her mother! She will look beautiful though :)

Mom and Dad, my wonderful parents whose marriage is still going strong after more than 37 years. They are my inspiration for a good marriage and I love them dearly.
